We came with a group, it was our first time here. The menu features gourmet grilled cheese. I had the Smoked Gouda, Basil and Tomato with was very good. I also shared a bowl of Lobster Bisque with my husband. Technically it isn't Bisque because it has chunks of Lobster in it. The server said it was the first time for making it, it was also very good. My husband enjoyed the Lockview hamburger with Mozzarella cheese, pickles, onions, lettuce and tomato. The default side is cheddar fish crackers. My husband had the Tater tots, which where done well. There are also shoestring sweet potato fries,dusted with cinnamon sugar which are quite good. They are not serving beer right now because their license needs to be renewed, and something about the government shutdown is affecting it. Note that if you are with a group, the gratuity is added onto your bill.
Food was good service was good. Just a little pricey but that’s okay.
It was a VERY busy Saturday, but they were friendly and efficient and served amazing food! The fried pepperoni as an appetizer was really good, and my lobster grilled cheese was perfect!!
We came with family before a show at the Civil Theater across the street! The restaurant was absolutely packed but they still got our food and drinks to us in a timely fashion. Our server was super nice and personable and the sandwiches were unique and hit the perfect spot! We love Lockview and will be sure to be back soon!
This was a very unique experience for my wife and I. I've never seen so many different variations on the grilled cheese sandwich. Mine was fantastic as my my wife's sandwich. The other real positive was that they were packed, but they had great service and speedily got us our food.
Party of six dropped in for lunch. Service was very attentive without being too much. Great beer selection and they were offering boozy, specialty hot chocolate as well. Great grilled cheese options on the menu. The barbecue pork grilled cheese was quite delicious. Sweet potato fries were a nice side option. Everyone in our party was very happy with their food and the quality of service.
Akron staple, great beer selection, Grilled cheeses are always perfect. One of the older bars in Akron. In the summer/nice days upper rooftop bar is open.
The atmosphere had it going on, very chill. The drink and food menus were stellar. I really enjoyed the lobster grilled cheese, blew me away! The service was excellent, what more can you ask for?
Fun grilled cheese menu :) Good value. Some obscure but good menu items, like fried pepperoni for example (I recommend them FWIW). Place has been here a while and we're glad we gave it a shot. Ambient noise is a bit loud, but if you're into a good bar experience, this is it.
Lunch on a Friday. Not crowded so we were seated immediately. Very nice inside with a large bar area. The draft beer list is impressive. This place is known for their gourmet cheese sandwiches so that's what we went for. I had the haverti dill with pickle and my wife chose the pepper jack and chorizo. We also ordered the housemade hummus as a starter. The food was good and the service excellent.
